Corfusiana is a collection of the scribbles I made when out and about in Corfu – with no intention of making them into a book. The collection spans years. Walking through villages with my companions, my eye would be caught by some interesting motif, and hastily note it down. The scribbles are only approximations. As an artist I am an ‘impressionist’ (a good excuse!) but putting these things together, they started to arrange themselves and give insists into the craftsman who created them, the links began to emerge, and the variations on a theme seem infinite.

When Corfu has changed, and is changing so much, so quickly, and irrevocably, and with so little regard for its heritage – these things, hopefully, will remain.
